Some patients are eligible for an NHS "Sight Test". Such categories include children, those over the age of 60 years, diabetics, and patients who are over the age of 40 years who have a close family member who suffers from glaucoma.
The NHS Sight Test does not include all the essential examinations which are routinely carried out in the practice, such as Humphrey fields and retinal photography. Therefore, we recommend an option whereby the NHS Sight Test is brought up to the Eye Examination standard. A brochure describing the Extended Examination Fee is available from the practice.
